The SP 35mm F/1.4 delivers excellent images. The smallest points and shapes are reproduced with absolute precision. Tamron has meticulously succeeded in eliminating all aberrations with the optical construction of 14 lens elements in 10 groups. The lens features several special glass elements, including four LD (Low Dispersion) lenses and three GM (Glass Molded Aspherical) elements. For the first time, the lenses are coated with the new BBAR-G2 (Broad-Band Anti-Reflection Generation 2) coating, which minimizes stray light and refections better than ever before. Even the finest details are reproduced brilliantly and with high contrast.
Lightning-fast, ultra-precise autofocus
Autofocus is based on Tamron's proven USD ultrasonic motor (Ultra Silent Drive). However, with the new Dynamic Rolling Cam mechanism, automatic focusing has taken another big leap forward. In terms of speed and precision, the AF of the new SP 35mm F/1.4 is unmatched. The innovative focusing system ensures consistently high AF performance and improves the hit rate even in the most challenging shooting conditions, especially in extremely low or high temperatures.
