Sony's fast and versatile Alpha 6400, with a 24.2-megapixel APS-C sensor and "BIONZ X" processor, takes on many of the features normally reserved for its larger full-frame relatives. These include an autofocus speed of 0.02 seconds, real-time eye autofocus and real-time tracking, and high-speed shooting up to 11 fps with AF/AE tracking. Advanced eye detection and tracking

Enhanced real-time eye AF reliably detects human faces and precisely focuses on eyes every time. You don't need to do anything else - just press the shutter button. Use AF-C to keep moving subjects in constant focus - even when part of the face is obscured or pointed downward. You can even set which eye to focus on in the menu - left, right or automatic.

Optimum focus at all times thanks to "Real Time Tracking

Real Time Tracking is a handy new feature of the Alpha 6400 that uses a special algorithm combined with artificial intelligence to ensure that the camera precisely tracks an object once you've focused on it. Object recognition incorporates various parameters such as colors, distance, brightness patterns as well as spatial information into the motion prediction. The result: once locked on, the autofocus never lets go of its subject.

Thanks to Full Pixel Readout without pixel binning and internal 4K (QFHD: 3840 x 2160 px), you are perfectly equipped for professional video production with the Alpha 6400. With the "Fast Hybrid Autofocus" specially optimized for videos, you focus smoothly and evenly so that refocusing is not noticeable. The focus also remains on the right point at all times - even if other objects in the foreground move into the picture.
