Stunning shots with Venus Engine image processor

By combining a CMOS sensor with the Venus Engine image processor, you can look forward to outstanding color detail and natural texture rendering. Multipixel Luminance Generation and Intelligent Detail Processing deliver intense brightness and strong contrast. Three-dimensional color control with very high color quality, starting from dark tones to light tones and with high-precision multi-process NR gives your images that certain something, even with high ISO values.

Double image stabilization with 5-axis Dual I.S.

Reliably sharp and blur-free photos without a tripod, thanks to Dual I.S. image stabilizer. The 5-axis body stabilizer compensates for the effects of camera shake, allowing up to 5.5 times longer freehand shots. Combined with the 2-axis stabilizer in the LUMIX S series lenses, this dual I.S. system increases the compensation level to 6-stops. It compensates for various camera movements in both photo and video shooting.

To help you as a photographer eliminate the sources of possible camera shake, the LUMIX S cameras also offer an I.S. status indicator with a graphical interpretation of vibration.

Advanced detection technology

Panasonic's advanced technology enables unified control of the sensor, drive and motor, providing extremely fast and precise focus at any angle. Extremely fast communications between sensor and lens of 480 fps and DFD technology enable autofocus of approximately 0.08 seconds with high speed and precision.In addition, low-light autofocus works at an impressive -6EV. The higher sensitivity and optimized tuning of the sensor has improved the light intensity, allowing sharp focusing even in starlight. Advanced AI technology recognizes not only the human body but also animal, with powerful tracking systems keeping the subject in focus at all times.

5.76 million pixel OLED viewfinder

At 5.76 million pixels, the S1 cameras' OLED viewfinder offers the highest resolution electronic viewfinder currently available and an image of exceptional clarity. The real-time viewfinder operates with a frame rate of up to 120 fps and a minimum delay of only 0.005 sec. This means that even images with movement and panning are reproduced with clean definition. The high resolution combined with a contrast ratio of 10,000:1 ensures equally differentiated and detailed reproduction.

Dual memory card slots for flexible data management

The two memory card slots are compatible with SD memory cards (UHS-II) and XQD? memory cards.
The Assignment Record mode allows you to specify the card slot for recording with different image formats. This function is especially useful for recording long videos. If there is no more space available on the first memory card, the LUMIX S1R automatically switches to the second memory card. In " backup recording" mode, the data is saved on both cards.
