How far does your gaze reach? 

The extra-large diameter of the Nikon Z bayonet allows NIKKOR Z lenses to capture more light at every angle of the frame. This, combined with the small flange focal distance (the distance between the bayonet mount and the image sensor), ensures only minimal light fall-off from the center of the image to the edges. The result is incredible detail ? right into the corners of the image.

Sharper
Point light sources in the subject, such as street lamps at night, are imaged with superior precision because sagittal coma has been almost completely corrected. Point light sources are imaged as naturally round points, even at the edges of the image.

Two ED glass lenses and three aspherical lenses contribute to crisp, brilliant images with rich colors and clear contrast. Vignetting (the light fall-off from the center of the image to the edges) is almost completely eliminated ? for even brightness to the corners of the image.

Even in backlit situations, Nikon's Nano Crystal Coat ensures brilliant, clear images thanks to highly effective reduction of reflections, ghosting, and flare. This also means significantly higher image quality when shooting with multiple light sources in the field of view.
