Sagittal coma flare is effectively minimized, so point light sources are rendered as fine, rounded points even at the edges of the image. Peripheral light fall-off is limited to achieve uniform brightness for the entire image section. Subjects at the edges of the frame are sharply reproduced with high resolution, even when shooting with the aperture open and the focus set to "infinity".
