Image quality

The lens consists of 20 lenses in 13 groups. This includes two Super ED lenses and one aspherical lens, which reduce chromatic aberrations and provide excellent imaging performance.

The lens is equipped with a powerful image stabilization system that allows up to 5 EV stops longer exposure time according to CIPA guidelines. Silent and fast autofocus

The autofocus is driven by a silent, high-precision and fast linear motor. The lens also features a new mechanism that allows the position of the linear motor to be fixed when the power is turned off or during playback to prevent additional vibration.
