Razor-sharp images and superb image quality

The EF-S lens delivers exceptionally sharp images even in low light. The lens features aspherical and UD lenses that suppress spherical and chromatic aberrations. For precise color balance and high contrast, the lens is equipped with Super Spectra coating. This also minimizes stray light and phantom images. Even close-ups do not have to do without the wide-angle perspective. Macro shots up to a distance of 0.22 meters are possible without loss of sharpness. To create an impression of depth in images, the 7-blade iris diaphragm enables attractive background blur.
