A ring-shaped ultrasonic motor (USM) ensures very fast, highly precise automatic focusing and focus tracking - which can be changed manually at any time.

Designed for digital cameras

As a lens designed specifically for digital photography, the EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM has specially shaped lenses with Super Spectra coating - to reduce flare and reflections that can occur due to reflections from the camera's sensor. A lens hood, available as an optional accessory, further reduces the risk of annoying light reflections.

Background blur

An iris diaphragm forms an attractive background blur - ideal for creating an impression of depth and highlighting the subject.
