The compact standard zoom lens from Sony retracts to 29.9 mm, making it very transport-friendly. The focal length range extends from 16 to 50 mm at an aperture of f/3.5 to f/5.6. Furthermore, the optical SteadyShot image stabilizer ensures that blur-free shots are possible at all zoom ranges. The use of aspherical and ED (Extra-low Dispersion Glass) glass elements minimizes aberrations (chromatic aberration) and provides excellent contrast, sharpness and low distortion at all focal lengths. In addition, the circular aperture with 7 blades provides a beautiful blur in the area of the non-focused image elements (bokeh).

Zoom lens

This lens has a variable focal length, which is continuously adjustable by moving the lens element. It is therefore very versatile and suitable for a wide range of uses - especially when conditions do not allow a quick lens change, you can adapt it to the situation in no time at all.

Optical image stabilizer for blur-free shots

The integrated optical image stabilizer compensates for fine movements that occur when you take handheld shots. The built-in sensors measure these movements and send a signal to shift one or more optical elements. This lets you shoot sharp, unblurred images - especially when working in low light conditions and with longer exposure times.
